Double Digits

 My baby is 10 months old...... unbelievable!!!!

She now has 6 teeth, can hold her own bottle and stand for 6 sec on her own!!!!

Still waiting on the hair to grow so I can put some bows in!!!!

8 months old

Holy cow where in the world has time gone?? Kara has grown up so fast right in front of our eyes! She just got her VERY first tooth and can now pull herself up and even get into crawling position. Its like we blinked our eyes and she became a little girl starting to do things on her own now.  She can hold her own spoon to feed herself (sorta) and almost drink from a sippy cup. Can't wait to see what next month will bring:)

Welcome to Masters Week! (Patrick wrote this one)

Kara Grace got to experience her very first Masters this year!!  Kara Grace got to spend time with a lot of her cousins during Masters week at Dee and Pops house in Augusta Georgia.  Frannie and Campbell were in from Ohio and Hannah, Hews, Jack, McKinsey, and Jake were all in from Atlanta.  We missed seeing Ben, Weston, and Will but luckily she gets to see them here in Atlanta.  Dee had the pool nice and warm and Kara Grace was able to get in with Mom and Dad and go for a swim two different days.  She really loved her new boat that Mom got her that lets her float around and chill in the pool with a little bit of shade.  All the cousins were happy that Dee had the pool so nice and warm and they could all swim during Masters.  Kara Grace also got to meet Fred and Kathleen from San Diego for the very first time.  Dee and Pop had another great party Friday night of Masters but Kara Grace was in the sheets pretty early and slept through most of the party!  Kara Grace also got to meet her Uncle Jason Saturday morning after the party for the very first time when he was in from Greenville, SC.  Phil Mickelson won the Green Jacket for Kara Grace's very first Masters.  Pop had to put a splint on Phil Mickelson's oldest daughter on Saturday when she fell skating and broke her wrist.  Kara Grace had a very exciting first Masters ever with Tiger returning to golf and Phil Mickelson winning his 3rd Green Jacket with a great round on Sunday!!  We can't wait until next year....    

Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter this year with Kara!  We had our first egg hunt at our neighbors house with all the babies from the neighborhood. It was so funny watching the babies lined up trying to get there pictures taken at the same time. Kara's favorite part was eating the plastic eggs:) The next day was Church with my family and then we headed to our second egg hunt at Uncle E's parents house. Lots of food and laughter!!

The things we love about Kara at 7 months

1. The big smile on her face when she wakes up to start the day
2. The way she sleeps on her tummy with her butt in the air
3. The way she looks at her Daddy and gives him a big smile and smirk
4. How she rolls over and over and over to get to her toys
5. The way she concentrates so hard to put each puff in her mouth
6. Play time right before our night bath with her favorite toys
7.The way she giggles when we give her a tummy gummier
8. The way she jumps when we stand her on our lap
9. How she tries so hard to have a real conversation with us
10. We just LOVE everything about our sweet baby girl

                               It was a little tough this time to get a good 7 month picture!!!!

Spring is in the air!!

YAY it is FINALLY Springtime!! We can now get outside and start showing Kara how beautiful the world is:) She had her first experience with grass the other day and thought it was the coolest thing ever. She sat there for 10 min just pulling the grass up and staring at it. She also discovered that if you eat it, it does not taste very good. We love watching her explore things for the first time!!
Patrick and Kara came down and watched my tennis match and saw me win for the first time this season WOOHOO!! It was a beautiful evening to be outside and enjoy the sun. I cant wait for many many more days like yesterday.... We just love the Spring!!!!

Happy 7 Months Big Girl!!

Poor Kara is going to be so sick of her Mommy taking TONS of pictures of her!!! On Saturday I took my first Photography class with our camera that we got almost two years ago. I can finally take pictures with a camera I know how to use and even take it off auto.....YAY!!! I have already used Kara as my model way too much but I know she will love to look back at her pictures when she gets older. So, everyone get ready for some picture posting uploading:)  Patrick was awesome for watching our beautiful daughter while I got Saturday and Sunday off......photography class and my first tennis match!!!

The new car

Its official we got a new volvo and we are now in the Parents club!! We traded in my fast sports car for a much more child friendly safe SUV. It gives us more room and I can finally take Kara running with me at the rec in her jogging stroller and fit all the grocerys in the trunk. Its amazing everything you have to think of when you have a child.... safety is much more important then how you look these days:) We are now getting ready to child proof our home because Kara is sitting up all by herself and before we know it she is going to be crawling everywhere!!!!  I know she is going to be looking for everything to get into EXCEPT her own toys:) 

Patrick will be gone for 4 days so Kara and I will be having a girls night every night....WAHOO!!! This will be the longest he has left us since she was born. We are going to miss his but I know we will have so much fun!!!

Cheerios and Sippy Cups:)

I love being a Mom it is the most amazing adventure a husband and wife can take. I have learned through this whole experience so far that patience is the key. Last night Kara had her first experience with cheerios and all but two ended up on floor. She had WAY more fun playing with them then eating them..... she hated the texture or the taste and made a funny face like I had just given her a lemon:) It is the best thing to watch someone figure something out for the first time in their life:) This morning Kara and I decided it was time to try the sippy cup (lots of new things in such a shot time) she did MUCH better with this than the cheerios!! She wanted to hold it herself and did not want any help from me!! She loved to chew on the spout but was not too sure about the water that was pouring out the other end. We will keep trying and I am sure she will get the hang of soon. She is soooo AMAZING:).......
